Co-Ed Youth Baseball

Lower T-Ball: All players will play the field and bat. Batting will be off of a tee. The child will have three tries to hit, if they cannot hit off the Tee in three tries they will walk to first base. There are no outs, stealing bases or score kept in this league.

Upper Coach Pitch: All players will play and bat. Batters will have three attempts to hit the ball off of an adult underhand pitch. If they are unable to hit they will then get three attempts to hit off of the tee. If they cannot hit off of the tee they will walk to first base. There are outs in this league. If the runner gets thrown or tagged out they will return to the dugout. There is no score kept.

 Process

To become a Volunteer , anyone 18 years or older must complete a fingerprint livescan. It is completely free and done at our District Office, 490 West D St.

If you are volunteering for a Youth Sport, you must also complete a form on Rec1, please email sports@tvrpd.org for the link to the form. Coaches get a $30 refund. Kinderball coaches will get $10 refund. Refunds will be distributed after season begins.

FAQ

Do I need a helmet and a bat?

Yes, or you can check one out a helmet and bat here at TVRPD with a $25.00 deposit and return it at the end of the season. Size of bat 24-27 inch. Size of helmet: depend on your child head circumference but usually the store sell one size fits all for T-Ball youth sizes or a hat size 6”. Please measure your child’s head.

What color is the jerseys?

Coaches will pick out the color at the coaches meeting.

 

Do we need cleats?

No, running shoes will work, but if you do get cleatss no metal cleats.

 

What kind of pants should they wear?

Regular sweatpants, shorts or leggings are fine.

 

Do they need a glove?

Yes. You may check one one while supplies last  at TVRPD with a $25.00 deposit and return it at the end of the season.

 

What does TVRPD provide?

Jersey and hat  

 

Where do they play?

Meadowbrook Park

 

What does the schedule look like?

No practices , if you want to practice, it's at the coach’s own leisure.

Registration is open for Tehachapi Valley Youth Baseball, April 7 - May 9. T-ball for ages 3-4, Coaches Pitch for ages 5-6.
