Summer Adventure Camp
Spend the day with old friends or make new ones as you create fantastic works of art, participate in fun and engaging games, and learn new sports skills.
Each week is planned based on a centralized theme. Summer Adventure Camp will utilize Park district’s fields and facilities to facilitate all indoor and outdoor activities. Monday-Friday will be organized play and activities.

Adventure Camp Week Details (for ages 5-12)
| Week 1 | Set Sail to Summer Island: We’re kicking off summer in the most magical way—by sneaking aboard a cruise ship with Woody and his toy friends as they head for Summer Island! This week is full of imagination, teamwork, and that exciting “first day of summer” energy. Campers will dive into a fun STEM experiment, cool off with pool days on Tuesday and Thursday, and show off their skills on Skate Park Wednesday. We’ll wrap up the week with a special field trip to see Toy Story 5, making this the perfect storybook beginning to our summer adventure. | |
| Week 2 | Palm Tides Resort: Now that we’ve arrived, it’s time to settle into island life! Palm Tides Resort brings relaxed beach vibes mixed with ocean exploration and curiosity about the sea. Campers will continue our weekly STEM experiment, enjoy pool days, and head to the skate park on Wednesday. On Friday, we’ll take a special trip to explore tide pools, giving campers a hands-on look at coastal life and the wonders of the ocean. | |
| Week 3 | Firecracker Cove: Summer Island is celebrating the Fourth of July in true island style! This week is filled with festive spirit, red, white, and blue fun, and lots of laughter. Campers will complete a STEM experiment, splash around during pool days, and cruise through Skate Park Wednesday. Our movie field trip to see Minions 3 keeps things silly and lighthearted—perfect for this patriotic party week. | |
| Week 4 | Action Adventure: Get ready to move! This week is all about energy, teamwork, and trying new challenges together. We will explore action sports with live action demonstrations. Campers will tackle a STEM experiment, cool off at the pool, and head out for Skate Park Wednesday. We’ll also take a field trip to see the live-action Moana, tying into themes of courage, exploration, and island adventure. | |
| Week 5 | Harry Potter: Our campers’ favorite week is back! Summer Island reveals its hidden magical side as campers dive into house pride, friendly competition, and wizard-inspired fun. We’ll still enjoy our weekly STEM experiment, pool days, and Skate Park Wednesday wrapped in that magical atmosphere everyone looks forward to year after year. | |
| Week 6 | Raging Waters: Time to cool off and make a splash! This refreshing week turns Summer Island into a water wonderland. Campers will complete a STEM experiment, enjoy extra fun during pool days, and head to the skate park midweek. The big highlight is our field trip to a water park always one of the most exciting days of the summer! | |
| Week 7 | Paint the Island Color Wars: One of the most anticipated weeks of camp! Campers team up for friendly competition, island pride, and tons of spirit. Along with our STEM experiment, pool days, and Skate Park Wednesday, this week builds up to an epic color run and celebration. It’s energetic, joyful, and absolutely unforgettable. | |
| Week 8 | Summer Fest Farewell: Our final week is all about celebrating an amazing summer together. Campers will enjoy one last STEM experiment, soak up their final pool days, and take their last spin on Skate Park Wednesday. We’ll close out with a heartfelt summer festival—full of music, laughter, memories, and that sweet mix of joy and nostalgia as we say goodbye to Summer Island. |
